About ICON
ICON

Thousands of people each day use our PlanningXchange suite on Council websites to track applications or permits, to view planning schemes or browse community plans.

We provide software that changes the way the public interact with Council. Our focus is also on providing the tools to Council officers to enable them to conduct their day-to-day business - from assessing development applications to writing strategic plans to reporting on service delivery progress.

Our world class partners also service the Local Government marketplace.

CivicPlus, our US partner has over 1000 Councils, servicing over 32,000,000 people, with their award-winning web content management system.

Our New Zealand partner; TwentyFour, offers Capital Works and Programme Management which is being used in two Australian Councils.

Building Best Practice for Community Engagement

It is with great pleasure we announce the dates and location for the 2012 ICON User Forum. The event will be held over two days at Singleton Council in the Hunter Valley on the 23rd and 24th August, 2012. They have kindly offered to host the event for us – thanks Singleton.

This year our theme is “Building Best Practice for Community Engagement”. So many of our customers are implementing significant process change and offering the community access to data previously held for internal use only. Throughout this year’s user forum we’d like to explore the challenges, the benefits and, most importantly, a consistent approach to how our software can be used to better engage your community on Council’s activities, business strategies, long term planning and performance.

All of the ICON team will be available throughout the User Forum to discuss ideas, site specific requirements and future directions. We look forward to welcoming you to Singleton Council.
