Auckland Council to use PLAN© for its Unitary Plan

Twentyfour and ICON partner to deliver PLAN to Auckland Council.

Auckland Council was looking for an innovative product to bring together the Auckland Unitary Plan which is to replace existing district plans and regional policies following the amalgamation of eight councils into the new Auckland Council.

The solution needed to allow for the delivery of the new plan in a way that is easy to use and navigate and to answer planning related requests.

After completing a formal review process, ICON’s PLAN solution, with its ability to create and manage any community, strategic, business or operational plan, has been selected by Auckland Council. We look forward to working with Auckland Council.

Gold Coast City Council selects ICON Software

ICON is very proud to announce that Gold Coast City Council have selected our PLAN software solution for their new QPP planning scheme. As ICON is a Gold Coast based company it is great to secure business with our home Council.

Replacing their existing online solution, ICON will host the new planning scheme which is being created using the new Queensland Planning Provisions. Working closely with the Gold Coast planning team, ICON is looking forward to rolling out the managed service before the Council elections in the early part of 2012.

ICON wins the Emerging Business Award for October

ICON has won the Gold Coast "Emerging Business" Award for October.

We are now in the finals to win the Overall Category as part of the Gold Coast Business Excellence Awards. The Gala Dinner, held at Jupiter's Casino, is on the 26th November. Wish us luck!!!!

Bankstown goes live with CivicPlus!

Bankstown City Council is the first Council in Australia to go live with the multiple awarding winning CivicPlus content management solution. Bankstown’s 180,000 community members can now access information from both the web and on their mobile devices, visit www.bankstown.nsw.gov.au to take a look.

CivicPlus provides the following out of the box features:

ICON is proud to be the partner of CivicPlus here in Australia. ICON provided all the implementation resources for the project which included graphic design, technical support, project management and content review services. CivicPlus offers many more features that will be rolled out over the coming months, these include opt in services to allow the community to subscribe to events and announcements, facilities booking, Facebook and Twitter integration; the Mayor’s blog, online opinion polls, emergency alerts and many more fantastic modules.

Albury launches ICON TRACK with great success!

In April this year Albury City Council implemented ICON’s online application tracking solution TRACK. “Launching the service has been a great success. The service is available on Council’s website and it receives over 200 enquiries per day on applications that have been lodged – making this available via the web saves both staff time and money. We estimate that we have saved over $100,000 in direct costs.” says Michael Keys, Director of Planning and Environment, Albury City Council.

“Planning enquiries over the phone have dropped by over 50% allowing the planning team to focus on processing applications rather than answering simple queries. The service offers the community the convenience of being able to access information on the progress of an application as and when it suits not just when Council’s customer service centre is open.” states Mr Keys
